This picture was taken after Soke Verkerke graduated from PPCLI Battle School June 1981.

During graduation parade.

You never want to be looking down the barrel of a 50 Cal.

	Some people thought this would not work. Well Soke Verkerke's platoon showed them different. They straped three 45gallon drums on each side of the jeep, then drove the jeep across the lake.

	In 1982 Soke Verkerke became an Aslt. Pioneer Arming and disarming explosives became his duty. These pictures demonstrate what 4 pounds of C4 will do to a large rock.By the way the C4 is set as an open charge which is meant to minimize the amount of destruction.
